Being bi-cultural or growing up in a country different to your ethnic background, for some may create a confusion as to where you belong or what you identify as. One might find difficulty fitting in and can feel torn between two contrasting cultures. This project is a visual journey exploring and embracing my West African and Nordic heritage. It highlights unexpected connections, manifesting similarities despite the differences and how the two cultures come together. In this project I have curated and combined old family photos of mine and ones which I have personally photographed.
